Rover Quest is a new free to play game, in which you play as a small rover sent to save a research base on a distant planet. However, that won’t be an easy task, as you have no equipment needed at the start, and thus you need to salvage what you can, build a gun and start fending off hostile robots which attack the people. That way you can get materials for upgrades and new functions of your rover, like greater speed, more health, damage, bigger inventory and others.

The gameplay is simple but not boring, which is perfect for a mobile game. The graphic side of the game is also interesting, while it is simple (and that way fortunately not hardware demanding), it truly has a charm to it, a beauty hiding in the simplicity. There are also details despite the simple look, like the lights on the rover’s back, each indicates something else and it’s up to you to figure them out. The look of the planet strongly reminds Halo: CE.

You can use touch controls (which can be made transparent in the settings) to play the game, or you can connect a gamepad. Both options work very well.

Rover Quest is free to play with a very few ads and the possibility to buy jetpack as IaP.
