If you like roguelike and/or bullet hell games, chances are high that you have also heard of vampire survivors. It’s quite popular among the fans of these two genres and like most roguelikes it’s simple to learn but difficult to master.

You can unlock a lot of characters, all of which have a different starting weapon and abilities, both positive and negative, for example faster attack but slower walk speed. Your first playable character is this guy named Antonio, his starting weapon is a whip and he has no other special abilities.

Killing enemies drops xp, which you collect to level up and get more weapons, passive boosts and their upgrades. This is a roguelike game, which means that when you die you loose everything except money, which is sometimes dropped from broken stationary objects and always earned from chests, which you get from larger enemies, or minibosses if you want.

Money can be used to buy stat upgrades in the main menu. Not all upgrades and playable characters are unlocked for purchase by default and you need to either find a specific weapon/powerup or complete a challenge, such as surviving a specific amount of time on a specific map, to unlock them for purchase. Purchased upgrades and chracter abilities stack, meaning that a character with one bonus projectile and an upgrade doing the same thing gives you two bonus projectiles for every weapon.
Mobile version of vampire survivors is free with the exception of dlcs, their price ranges from 2 to 3€. You can also watch ads to revive or double your earnings, but that’s up to you, no forced ads are present.
